Giving Back to God
The Church of England receives no state financial support, and churches like St Michael’s are run as independent charities supported by the generosity of their members, as well as other donations from congregations, visitors and fundraising events.
Our mission and ministry serve the people of Ledbury as well as contributing to the work of our Diocese of Hereford. In addition we gladly bear the costs of maintaining our ancient Grade 1 listed church.
Stewardship at St Michael’s
We encourage all our members to participate in our Stewardship Scheme, contributing to the Church
– by being part of the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS)
– by regular Standing Order
– or through weekly envelopes.
Additionally, if you are a taxpayer, then the value of any gifts you make can be increased by 25% at absolutely no cost to you if you complete a Gift Aid form.
(Yellow Gift Aid envelopes for one-off gifts are always available in Church, but it helps us considerably with our paperwork if people join our Stewardship Scheme and use regular weekly envelopes, Standing Order or The Parish Giving Scheme.
Many thanks.)
If you would like to join our Stewardship Scheme, or for more information about Gift Aid, weekly envelopes, giving by Standing Order, joining the Parish Giving Scheme or leaving a legacy to St Michael’s in your will, then please contact our Gift Aid Co-ordinator, Ayo Adewale who will be able
to give you all the information that you need. Or, Join our Stewardship Scheme by downloading this form.
